BRUSSELS (April 29) XINHUA - The European Union is to provide some 715,000 U.S. dollars to help thousands of Tibetans hit by snow storms and severe weather earlier this year.
The European Commission said today it had approved a humanitarian aid project for the Tibetan nomads through Medecins Sans Frontieres, a Belgian non-governmental aid organisation.
MSF is providing food, medical aid and blankets to some 72,000 semi-nomadic Tibetans affected by harsh weather.
