There is an interesting exhibition on Mongolia called Mongolia: The Legacy of Chinggis Khan at the National Geographic Society here in Washington, D.C. It is organised by the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco in association with the Minsitry of Culture, National Museums, and National Library of Mongolia.
There are so many references to Tibet, as can be expected, particularly with respect to the Jetsun Dhampa as well as Dogon Choegyal Phagpa. The text which accompanies the exhibits, be it maps, Thankas, sketches, statues or ritual instruments, is very favourable concerning Tibet. A small interesting thing was that the present-day Mongolian currency has a portrait of the Dogon Choegyal Phagpa on it.
The exhibition is on from April 3 till July 7.
I thought your readers may be interested in reading about this.
