NEW DELHI, June 3. The percentage of successful Tibetan students is higher than that of Delhi and other Indian cities in 1996 in the Class XII results declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education on May 28. The overall performance of Tibetan schools in 1996 is 77.54 percent, which is a per cent higher than the Delhi schools' average. Also Central School for Tibetans fared better over the Tibetan Children's Village School, Dharamsala this time around. Central School for Tibetans, Darjeeling has 96.65 percentage of successful students, followed closely by Dalhousie and Shimla with only marginal differences.
Altogether 570 students from ten Tibetan schools sat for the examination. Students who sat for the above mentioned examination were from: Tibetan Children's Village School, Dharamsala Cantt; Tibetan Homes School, Happy Valley, Mussoorie; Central School for Tibetans, Mussoorie; Central School for Tibetans, Shimla; Central School for Tibetans, Dalhousie; Central School for Tibetans, Darjeeling; Central School for Tibetans, Kalimpong; Central School for Tibetans, Bylakuppe; Central School for Tibetans, Mundgod; Herbertpur SFF School, Herbertpur.
