The George Mason University, located in the state of Virginia adjacent to Washington, D.C., has announced that the "Tibetan Song and Dance Ensemble from the Snowfields of China" will perform at the Institute of Arts on October 12, 1996 at 8 p.m. This is the same group that is scheduled to perform in some of the other colleges in the country.
The University's announcement says, "Feel the wind on the plateaus. See the snow-covered mountains. This vibrant 60-member company, in a once-in-a-lifetime tour, brings its rich cultural heritage to life with the music, dance and pageantry of Tibet."
