Keynote address by His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will present the keynote address at Endangered Tibet, an international conference on the Tibetan environment in Sydney, Australia. Presented by The Wilderness Society and the Australia Tibet Council, this conference will highlight how forty six years of military occupation by China has brought Tibet to the brink of environmental catastrophe. In an extensive day of presentations and workshops, Endangered Tibet will bring together leading activists and environmental organisations to work together on a national campaign to end this crisis on the roof of the world.

CONFERENCE CONVENORS
The Wilderness Society is one of Australia's leading environmental bodies, with a mission to preserve, promote and protect wilderness. The Wilderness Society is campaigning to raise public awareness of the Tibetan environmental situation.
The Australia Tibet Council is Australia's national Tibetan advocacy organisation. As part of the international Tibet support network, the Australia Tibet Council works to promote the human rights of the Tibetan people and the protection of their culture and environment.
