DHARAMSALA 11/06/1996 A dead body of an 11 year-old Tibetan girl completely stripped off evidently after sexual assaults was reported to have been located below the Central Tibetan Secretariate complex on the 11th of June. The local police with help of sniffer dogs investigated the crime scene and the surrounding areas and are reported to have recovered the clothes of the child from the apartment of the next-door nieghbour, a Tibetan man who is a recent arrival from Tibet and at the time working in the Tibetan government's staff cafeteria.

The child who is attending the Tibetan Children's Village School in Lower Dharamsala has come to spend the summer break with her aunt who is a computer operator at the computer centre.

Incidently that ominous night the crime took happened to be the last night before the schools are schedlued restart.

The Tibetan community in Dharamsala are angry and shocked at this gruesome rape and murder of a minor. They want the crimanl to be given the serverest punishment under the law for this most hienous crime.
