YANG CHUANTANG

Tibet CCP Deputy Secretary and Regional Government Vice-Chairman Yang Chuantang delivered an important speech at a regional archive work conference in Lhasa on 11th June.

Yang Chuangtang addressed a regional telephone conference on publicizing and implementing the Statistical Law on 10th June.

CHEN KUIYUAN

The regional party committee and regional government held the first regional family planning forum on 23rd May. Tibet Regional CCP Secretary Chen Kuiyuan and Regional Government Chairman Gyalcan Norbu spoke at the forum. Chen Kuiyuan called for rationally controlling population growth. GYALCAN NORBU

The Tibet regional government held a meeting in Lhasa on 24th May at which Tibet Regional Government Chairman Gyalcan Norbu and leaders of seven prefectures and cities singed document defining targets to be achieved during their terms of office in developing forestry.

LI LIGUO

Tibet CCP Standing Committee Member and Secretary-Gerneral of the Regional Party Committee Li Liguo spoke at a seminar on the compilation of an outline of the history of the Tibet Autonomous Region on 7th June. Party Deputy Secretary Basang was present.

DANZIM

Tibet CCP Deputy Secretary Danzim addressed the literary editors of the party newspaper in the northwestern region, calling for more coverage of Tibet's development.

A meeting was held on 15th June to learn from model meteorological worker Chen Jinshui; Danzim chaired the meeting, Tibet CCP Executive Deputy Secretary Raidi spoke.

On 16th June, Danzim inspected an exhibition of women and children's work in Lhasa.
