We, the Tibetan Community in Britain unanimously reject recent accusations made by Shugden Supportes' Community (SSC) about His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in exile.
We would like to state clearly that we as an organisation or as individual members, never received any order from the Tibetan government in exile banning the worship of Dorje Shugden.
We, as an organisation have never issued any statement urging our members to abandon the propitiation of Dorje Shungden.
The Charter of the Tibetans in exile fully guarantees the freedom of worship.
We find accusation made by the SSC are totally baseless and they have not shown any evidence of denial of freedom of religion among the Tibetan refugee communities in India.
We firmly beleive that HH the Dalai Lama as the supreme spritual leader of the Tibetan people has the right to advise his followers what is the best couse of spiritual welfare of the Tibetan people.
We fear that campaign waged by the SSC is designed to destroy the unity of the Tibetan people and the good international standing of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
We would like to affairm our unwavering faith in HH the Dalai Lama as the supreme spiritual and political leader of the Tibetan people.
Signed Sonam Frasi,
The Chairman of Tibetan Community in Britain.
