The Dalai Lama will deliver a public address on "Interfaith Harmony in Global Society" at the Hindu Temple auditorium, University of Durban-Westville, on August 20.

The Tibetan spiritual leader will be in Cape Town on August 21 to present the 11th annual Desmond Tutu Peace Lecture.

He was invited to deliver the lecture in recognition of his commitment to peace, human rights, social change and environmental responsibility.

Also his lecture will be aimed at promoting better understanding and closer co-operation between South Africans of different religions.
