SUBJECT: URGENT APPEAL FOR DONATIONS FOR THE REGIONAL TIBETAN WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION, DHOGU YUGAL LING (HERBERTPUR)
Dear friends,
The Tibetan Women's Association has a regional branch in Dhogu Yugal Ling settlement in Herbertpur (around Dehradun area). Their executive members came to our office today seeking help and support for the construction of their office and hall.
Our regional branch in Herbertpur has until now not had any space to hold meetings and other regional activities. They told us that they have to have their meetings either in rented halls or office or school rooms, which sometimes they are unable to rent. On other days they have meetings outside and this has been problematic at times.
Over the past two years they requested the settlement officers to give them a small plot of land. Recently they were successful in getting a small piece of land on which they now have plans to construct a tiny office room plus a small hall for meetings. They have been going around collecting donations and have only been successful in raising around Rs 30,000/-. Their cost estimate for the entire construction is around Rs. 63,000/-. They are at present short of Rs. 33,000/, or around US$1,000/-.
Friends, we would very much appreciate if you could please commit a minimal amount of money for the construction project of our regional branch. Any donations, small or large would really be extremely beneficial and helpful. We do hope you all will commit some donation to them.
Please let us know by email (email address: twa@dsala.tibetnet.ernet.in) how much you can commit and TWA will send the money to our regional branch in Dhogu Yugal Ling in advance, so that their construction can go on. The Dhogu Yugal Ling regional TWA branch will send you your official receipts by mail. Thank you very much and we hope the Dhogu Yugal Ling regional TWA appeal will be heard by friends worldwide.
