Published by World Tibet Network News - Saturday, September 21, 1996250 Tibetans will take part ina peace march from Wardha in Maharashtra to Delhi, to be launched by the Tibetan Peace March Movement, a committee consisting of 8 NGOs, on 10 December. The march will endat Birla House in Delhi, the site of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination, on 30 January. Walking 25 kilometres everyday, the marchers will cover a distance of 1111 kilometres in 50 days.
Himalayan Action Committee on Tibet, a Tibet advocacy group basedin New Delhi, in a gesture of solidarity, will also take out a peace march from Bombay to Delhi with an estimated participation of 100 people. Both the marches are scheduled to begin and end simultaneously.
