Shoton 1997: The week-long annual traditional Tibetan Opera festival "Shoton" - which is being organised and hosted every year by the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Dharamsala - will be inaugurated and graced by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 11 March.

As many as seven operatic classics will be staged by opera groups hailing from different Tibetan Settlements across India and Nepal including TIPA.
