Re: Invitation to observe the proceedings of WPCT
As you are aware, the International Campaign for Tibet is hosting the III World Parliamentarians Convention on Tibet here in Washington, D.C. from April 23 to 24, 1997. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been invited to address the Convention.
The Convention will take place on Capitol Hill (and part of the time in a nearby Hotel). Although only MPs are being invited as delegates, we would like to invite President and Secretary of TSGs and Tibetan Associations to attend the SECOND DAY'S session of the Convention (April 24) as observers.
We will be circulating that day's program in due course of time.
In addition to the Convention, we are planning an interfaith event (at the National Cathedral) on the evening of April 24 to which you are welcome.
Seating at the Convention will be limited and restricted. To enable us to assist as many TSGs and Tibetan Associations to avail themselves of this opportunity, please send us the list of the two people coming from your organization. This will help us plan accordingly.
We would like to receive the list by March 15, 1997.
As there may be many TSGs and Tibetan Associations in North America who are not connected to email, could you help by spreading this message to your neighbouring Association or Group.
