We are able to appreciate the part played by religion, it also helped us to keep our national identity. Our enemies were also fighting against our religion to deprive us of soul." - it is a part of a letter to Dalai Lama which was published on March 10 in Polish daily "Zycie". Readers may cut it off, sign and send to His Holiness's office in Dharamsala. The letter will be also published on Wednesday in the biggest Polish daily "Gazeta Wyborcza" and "Tygodnik Powszechny" magazine. The total issue will be about 700,000 copies.
The Polish Association of Tibet's Friends - the organizer of this media action - wants to reach these people, who sympathize with pro-Tibetan movements but had to opportunity to show it. The Association organized also a demonstration in front of Chinese Embassy in Warsaw to commemorate the anniversary of the National Uprising in Tibet in 1959.
