CHINA - China has warned the US to act cautiously during a visit by the Dalai Lama this week, saying that the exiled Tibetan leader should not meet senior US leaders. A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said that the US would be endorsing his attempts to split the motherland if they met him. He said that Beijing and Washington should cherish their newly improved ties but declined to say if the planned visit by the foreign minister to America later this month would be affected.
