A Tibetan delegation, made up of the foreign minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, [Tsewang Choegyal] Tethong [minister of information and international relations], and the Dalai Lama's envoy to the Baltic countries and the Central and South Eastern Europe, Tsering, has concluded its visit to Lithuania. According to newspaper reports, Lithuania intends to support the Tibetan struggle for independence mainly by disseminating information. [Lithuanian] Minister of Communications and Information Rimantas Pleikys is currently looking into the possibilities of broadcasting English-language [radio] programmes, dedicated to Tibetan independence. There are also plans to launch a programme in the Mongolian and Chinese languages which would help to communicate unbiased information about Tibet to a large part of the general public in China.
The Tibetan delegation left for Tallinn today [30th May].
