A Conference on Activism and Contemplation

With His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, Rigoberta Menchu and Jose Ramos-Horta

PEACE CONCERT -- 7:00PM

On Sunday, June 8th, a benefit concert will be held at the Bill

Graham Civic Auditorium, 99 Grove Street, San Francisco. Featured

Artists will include Natalie Merchant and her band, Ziggy Marley and

his band, Philip Glass, and Special Surprise Guests. The concert will

begin with a greeting from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale in mid-April through

PUBLIC TALK WITH NOBEL LAUREATES -- 6:30PM

A PUBLIC TALK ON NON-UIOLENCE BY NOBEL PEACE LAUREATES

On Monday, June 9, Tibet House will present a public talk by Nobel

Peace Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Rigaberta Menchu, and Jose

Ramos-Horta at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, 99 Grove Street, San

Francisco, at 6:30 p.m. - $15 GA (General Admission). Deeply concerned

with the current epidemic of violence in our society and the world, His

Holiness The Dalai Lama of Tibet, Rigoberta Menchu of Guatemala and Jose

Ramos-Horta of East Timor gather at this rare event to speak on

non-violence. Co-sponsors and beneficiaries of this event are Bay Area

Friends of Tibet, the Committee of 100 for Tibet, the International

Committee of Lawyers for Tibet, The Tibetan Association of Northern

California, and the University of California at Berkeley chapter

of Students for a Free Tibet.
