The Tibetan Association of Washington is hosting the second annual Tibetan festival "Tibet Fest '97" on August 9 and 10 1997 at the Seattle Center. The 2-day event will feature Chaksam-pa, Nawang Kechok, Dharma Bums and the Seattle based dance company Nyenchen Thanglha. The event is free of charge to the public.

The 2-day festival will also present video whows, lectures on Tibet and an exhibit of art and literary works done by local Tibetan children. There will alsos be booths exhibiting and selling unique Tibetan and Himalayan arts and crafts.
