Dalai Lama: One way the situation... is worsening, and also on the other hand, there's more and more hope. Some positive changes. I mean, if there is something and the situation, very difficult, it's a very very critical situation, but without much hope then also but like in our case, not that case, one is very serious, as I always mention, one nation with its unique cultural heritage actually facing the threat of extinction.

The people of China itself, I believe, are in the process of changing. So if we consent to the effort, tirelessly, one would think very seriously, more and more Chinese are sharing their spirit of solidarity and concern. This I feel is very important. So one way from the individual community, and also with the Chinese community, some say some positive attitude. So as I said, I believe that there is a feeling that time is very crucial. So there is the one side, very serious, and it almost appears hopeless. On one side, there is no hope, so therefore, this is my belief, and therefore I believe it was historically... but it is my thinking, or my approach as you know to try to find a mutual solution. [laughs] So anyway, as long as we have truth, sincerity, honesty, truth. Our own weapon is justice and truth. So more and more people have awareness.
