The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) today to resolved to reciprocate the increased Chinese repression in Tibet by a hard-hitting freedom movement against the Communist leadership.
In the press release here, the president of TYC called upon the struggling community to intensify their stir against China in commemoration of the Human Rights Day on December 10. He urge the United Nation to see that the signatory nations comply with the conventions that they were party to,against Chinese brutality in the occupied Tibet.
"Despite the fact that several strong resolution have been passed in United Nation General Assembly again Chinese action ever since Gaden Podrang (government of Independent Tibet) approached it in 1950 when colonial Chinese were in the process of crossing over to Tibet, the UN has remained indifferent to the suffering of the Tibetans and has not acted to in force the resolution," Nehru commented.
He alleged that situation in Tibet had worsened further as China had not relented in spite the international pressure against its human rights record.
"We the Tibet people should bear this in mind and increase our movement in proportion to Chinese repression in Tibet, " he said.
He appealed to the international community to continue supporting the Tibetan as global pressure was one instrument that may count on China's colonial and racist policy against Tibet some day. He said a just solution to the issue of Tibet could be found by a settlement between the government of China and the Tibetan government in exile headed by the Dalai Lama.
He said the cry of Tibetans was unheard at present with China stepping up its campaign to destroy religious, cultural and traditional rites of Tibet. " We celebrate the Human Rights Day with the hope that universality of human rights will prevail on the whole of mankind, including Tibetans, " he said.
