PARIS, March 8 (Reuters) - Several thousand people gathered on Paris's Esplanade of Human Rights under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower on Sunday to show support for the Tibetan cause on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of an anti-Chinese revolt in Tibet.

The demonstrators, including several dozen Tibetans resident in France, waved Tibetan banners and held up pictures of the Dalai Lama.
