NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION FOR TIBET, JUNE 15TH ON THE CAPITOL LAWN, SCHEDULED TO COINCIDE WITH CLINTON'S TRIP TO CHINA

SIX TIBETANS IN DELHI, INDIA ARE ON THEIR 43RD DAY OF A HUNGER STRIKE

The Milarepa Fund is proud to announce plans for a third Tibetan Freedom Concert to take place at Washington DC's RFK Stadium on Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th. Tickets for the event will go on sale on May 2nd at 9:00 AM (EST) at the RFK Stadium Box Office, Ticketmaster Outlets or Charge-By-Phone at 1-800 551-SEAT. There will be a four ticket limit per day (rain or shine).

Slated to perform are A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Beck, Chaksam-Pa, Radiohead, Patti Smith and Sonic Youth, veterans of the past two TFCs in San Francisco and New York City, respectively. The concert will also feature sets from R.E.M. and Pearl Jam. as well as newcomers to the TFC lineup Dave Matthews, Tracy Chapman, Live, the historic return of The Headhunters featuring legendary jazz/funk keyboardist Herbie Hancock, The Verve, KRS-ONE, Luscious Jackson, Sean Lennon, Blues Traveler, Pulp, Buffalo Daughter, Mutabaruka, Fugees' Wyclef Jean and a momentous performance by electronic music inventors Kraftwerk. Also featured will be notable speakers including Ven. Palden Gyatso and Wei Jingsheng. Artists are subject to change.

Monday, June 15th has been declared a National Day of Action for Tibet. A rally is scheduled to commence on the Capitol lawn at noon which will feature notable guests, speakers from the Tibetan community,
