BOSTON, May 5 (AFP) - Chinese dissident Wei Jingsheng on Wednesday said the United States and other western nations must keep pressing China to lessenthe plight of dissidents and others suffering under Beijing's rule. Washington and other western regimes must "keep up the pressure" on Beijing,said Wei, 47, who showed no evidence of what Montreal doctors had earlier described as heart trouble."Trade between the countries is important, but human rights is even moreimportant," Wei told several hundred members of the Harvard University community at the ARCO forum in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The dissident spoke for over 30 minutes before taking audience questions for40 minutes more, but then said he was "not feeling well" and asked that themeeting end.A Harvard spokesperson said that Wei -- who left in seemingly good spirits,accompanied by Harvard officials -- will be staying in the Boston area inorder to meet with the Dalai Lama this weekend.Wei had been briefly hospitalized Tuesday in Montreal after complainin
g of heart trouble and canceling part of his speaking program there.
