"I am joining the Radical Party because I share its battles for the construction of the United States of Europe, and because I believe that it is necessary to operate for a New political and cultural Renaissance in Europe and in the whole of the Mediterranean area. I am joining the transnational Radical party first of all because I am a well known social-democratically oriented member of the League of Yugoslavian Communists."
Gojko Marinkovic
journalist for the Zagreb-based weekly Danas, member of the League of Yugoslavian Communists
In the transnational radical party (and in our Yugoslavian version, RUSED - radical association for the United States of Europe), I see the core of a new party, in which there are no admissions, exclusions, punishments or threats in the name of a God or a dogma. In other words, a return to the ideas of the original liberalism, which would once again return to the individual his status of free individual at the centre of the events, and would grant him the right to decide independently of his relations in society."
