Burkina Faso

Dear Comrades and Radical comrades,

The Radical Association for the Rule of Lawin Africa (A.R.E.D.A.) was legally recognised in Burkina Faso on the 13 April 1990, with the authorization no. Year VII - 100, of the Ministry for Territorial Administration.

Only those who are already members of the RP may join A.R.E.D.A. at a cost of 10.000 Lire a year.

Today there are around 350 members of the Association, including both Africans and Europeans.

On the 2 June a referendum was held in Burkina Faso, as a result of which a Constitution was adopted which aims to install a Rule of Law for the country.

The Radicals of Burkina are profoundly committed to the concept of a right to life and a life of rights. And for this reason we are launching an appeal to all our friends and comrades inviting them to join, so that we can set this RP up together, and help to spread the idea of the transnational party as a new political vision, in opposition to all forms of nationalism and imperialism.

All the African countries suffer from the serious and enormous burden of their foreign debts, which continue to strangle our economies, and which are made worse by the frequent droughts, such as that in the Sahel. Every day hunger, ignorance and illness kill hundreds of thousands of mothers, fathers and children in the face of the indifference of the greater and richer powers.

Day by day we confront these problems, and try to change the state of things.

Anyone who wishes to give us a militant hand may now come to our new headquarters - every contribution, however modest, is of value.

In addition to the headquarters of the RP in Rome, a foundation has been inaugurated for the project of setting up an "African Radical Radio" and we ask you to contribute using the current account number indicated below.
