- Mr President, I have raised this matter before in this House but I must raise it again. I know I am not the only Member who has some difficulty in hearing. The noise levels from microphones in this Chamber would be unacceptable if they were covered by Health and Safety at Work regulations. They need to be checked. The acoustics of this House need to be checked.

In the meantime, Mr President, would you ask Members who speak not to shout into the microphones. The only way we can hear the interpretation is to turn the sound up to unacceptable levels. Something must be done about it.
