- Mr President, a personal statement was made just a moment ago by a member of this House naming a member of my group and the group itself. It is important that this House should hear the position of my group with regard to relations with Forza Europa so there is no ambiguity. My group understands only too well that there is a group in this house elected under the Forza Italia banner. However we are a political institution and my group reserves its right to express its repugnance and its abhorrence of a political group that has formed an alliance and coalition in its Member State with fascists.

That is the statement we wish to make. We have made it clear we will not co-operate with Forza Europa candidates in this House and the whole of this Parliament should know that and understand why. This is a political institution, not a playpen and we wish to make clear our political opposition to coalitions with fascists.
