Mr President, I wish to welcome the acceptance of the resolution of the joint groups and to associate myself with such a resolution, which promotes non-violence, political dialogue and consensus as a method for conflict resolution. I would particularly make the point that political dialogue also includes community dialogue at grassroots level. As Greens we are particularly keen that this avenue also be explored and that Parliament take note of the Opsahl Commission, chaired by the late Professor Opsahl, as a precedent for such community dialogue to take place. At a level of conflict resolution, a lot of work has been done by non-political community organizations on all sides, and I hope that Parliament can recognize that as part of this resolution.
