Mr President, I rise on a matter concerning the voting card. Yesterday during the vote on the question of Northern Ireland my voting card did not work. Despite the fact that it was a registered vote, I stood up and indicated that I was voting Yes. A list was later circulated which did not carry my name as voting Yes. I feel there should be some framework whereby, when a voting card fails, as happens quite often, when Members indicate that they have voted and how they have voted, that vote should be immediately listed. It is grossly unfair to Members who stated publicly how they voted to find at the end of the day that they are not even listed on the transcribed list. Even the method by which it is indicated that we did vote is not the proper method. We should be included in the actual list when such occasions arise.
