Subject: EEC economic and trade sanctions against countries involved in the production and trafficking of drugs

In view of Parliament's concern over the proliferation of drugs and the appalling economic and social repercussions (rising crime, deaths), what measures will the Council take to impose an economic and trade embargo on those countries which are demonstrably involved in the production of drugs?

Does the Council not think that the time has come for action rather than mere words?
