Subject: Lack of resolution displayed by the Commission
As the guardian of the Treaties, the Commission must be vigilant in maintaining its own independence and the authority of its President.
What steps does it intend to take to counter the lack of resolution that is apparent over the appointment of the new Commission?
Does it regard the refusal to nominate Commissioners before their respective portfolios have been established as being consistent with the letter and spirit of the Treaty?
Are the various activities within the Commission allocated directly to the Member States, leaving the latter responsible for nominating the relevant Commissioners?
