Madam President, I just wish to say that before that other remark I was about to rise and take up some of Parliament's valuable time to put the very opposite case. As I was coming to Parliament this morning I heard this wonderful choir singing. In fact I was delayed coming into the Chamber because I actually stopped to listen!
(Applause)
What I wanted to say was that it is one of the joys of this Parliament that we invite choirs to come here; as a result we experience cultures from all the different parts of Europe.
I wanted to say to our colleagues up there that I listened to them and thoroughly enjoyed them, and I hope that they have listened to us and thoroughly enjoyed Europe at work.
(Applause)
