Madam President, I should like to congratulate the rapporteur on an excellent report and I would ask the House to support the amendment I have tabled. What I would suggest is that where an accident has occurred and where an investigation has taken place, the results of that investigation should be shared with all the interested parties in the industry. That is the position that currently pertains under the International Maritime Organization relating to accidents at sea. The aim in the case of the IMO is to achieve greater safety at sea and I see absolutely no reason to discriminate against greater safety in the air industry and I would propose a similar procedure for investigation of air accidents. As Mr Killilea has requested, if they do take place the information obtained from the investigation should be shared throughout the industry. I would ask the House to support the amendment.
