Mr President, on a point of order. Yesterday we lost nine hours in this Parliament having committee meetings. In my view, we should have completed our work in Brussels before we came down here. It is time for the Conference of Presidents to stop the nonsense and get the part-session working for the full week.

In addition to that, I think what we should do is allocate two hours of time during each part-session for discussion of matters of urgency within the EU, within the Union. We can continue to deal with matters of urgency outside the Union as we are now so doing, but we should allocate two hours of a given week in this Parliament so that we can ask questions and raise matters of urgency within the Union, such as those discussed here this morning.
