I explained that in some detail in the communication that I made on asylum and immigration. I made it quite clear that we were talking about a comprehensive approach to this matter, involving dealing with migration flows, the control of illegal immigration, but most importantly, the integration of legally resident non-nationals in this Union.

I see no case for denying people who are legally resident in this Union the right to work and the right to move and take work wherever they can find it.
