I just wish to say that we recognize that there are hard questions to be answered, and that is the reason why we make the proposals that we do. Do not forget that we have over a hundred proposals under nine specific headings in the White Paper - every one of them important! I know that progress has been slow under the German Presidency in some areas of activity. We have not met with success on the burden of proof, as you say. I shall becoming forward with a communication taking on board all the jurisprudence in that area to see what we need to do in the future.

On the question of parental leave, I have initiated the discussion with the social partners to see whether we can move under Maastricht structures to deal with this issue.
