Mr President, thank you for the statement that you have made and for your personal involvement in the reception of the petition. I am grateful to you for passing it immediately to Parliament's committees.

I apologize to Mr Tomlinson. A grave mistake was made. Unfortunately, at relatively short notice Parliament's services would not allow the petition to be handed over at the front of the Palais building, where we had wished the ceremony to take place. It had to be moved to the IPE building. I did inform Parliament's services and asked them to instruct anyone who came to the front of the Palais, but unfortunately that does not seem to have been done. I do apologize. It was a great occasion, Mr President. We are very grateful for your involvement.
