Impact of financial constraints on the development, conservation and maintenance of the natural resources and related infrastructure in developing countries
The Economic and Social Council,
Recognizing that the financial constraints facing developing countries have reduced their ability to develop, conserve and maintain their natural resources and related infrastructures,
Bearing in mind the detrimental consequences of those problems which have affected the long-term development prospects of developing countries,
Calls upon the Secretary-General to include in the report requested in paragraph 1 of Council resolution 1989/12 a section on the activities of the organizations of the United Nations system relating to the impact of financial constraints affecting developing countries in the development, conservation and maintenance of their natural resources.
