Rights of persons belonging to national, ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities

The Economic and Social Council,

Recalling Commission on Human Rights resolution 1991/61 of 6 March 1991,

1. Authorizes an open-ended working group of the Commission on Human Rights to hold twenty fully serviced meetings at the beginning of December 1991 to complete its second reading of the draft declaration on the rights of persons belonging to national, ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities, and with a view to submitting the text to the Commission on Human Rights at its forty-eighth session, in 1992;

2. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the working group with all the assistance it may require for the continuation of its work.
