The European Parliament,
A. believing that prisoners should have the right to regular visits by members of their families,
B. deploring the fact that Madame Serfaty, a citizen of the Community, is prevented from visiting her husband, condemned to life imprisonment and imprisoned in Morocco for twenty years, by the refusal of the Moroccan Government to issue a visa to her,
1. Calls on the Moroccan Government, for reasons of humanity, to grant Madame Serfaty a visa and allow her to visit her husband;
2. Calls on the Ministers meeting in European Political Cooperation to make urgent representations to the Moroccan authorities to secure the release of Abraham Serfaty;
3. Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council, Commission and European Political Cooperation, and the Moroccan Government.
