Legislative resolution on the proposal for a Council Decision concerning the conclusion of an Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters between the European Community and the United States of America on government procurement (6063/95 - C4-0140/95 - 94/0150(AVC))

The European Parliament,

-having regard to the proposal and the amended proposal for a Council Decision (COM(95)00251 and COM(95)0018 - 94/0150(AVC),

-having regard to the Council's request for Parliament's assent pursuant to Articles 57(2) (last sentence), 66, 100a and 113 of the EC Treaty in conjunction with Article 228(2) (first sentence) and (3) of the EC Treaty (6063/95 - C4-0140/95),

-having regard to Rule 90(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

-having regard to the report of the Committee on External Economic Relations and the opinions of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy and the Committee on Legal Affairs and Citizens' Rights (A4-0113/95),

1.Gives its assent to the conclusion of the agreement;

2.Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council, the Commission, the US Administration and the US Congress.
