Resolution on the proposal for a Council Directive on the collection of statistical information in the field of tourism (COM(94)0582 - C4-0176/95)

The European Parliament,

-having regard to the Commission proposal, COM(94)0582 - C4-0176/95,

-having delegated the power of decision, pursuant to Rule 52 of its Rules of Procedure, to the Committee on Transport and Tourism,

-having regard to the report of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the opinion of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy (A4-0139/95),

A.whereas the Commission has forwarded to Parliament, for information, its proposal for a Council Directive on the collection of statistical information in the field of tourism,

1.Invites the Commission to take into consideration the following proposed modifications:
