The European Parliament,

-having regard to the proposal for a Council Decision, 7092/95 - 95/0813(AVC),

-having regard to the Council's request for Parliament's assent pursuant to Articles 238 and 228(3), second subparagraph, of the EC Treaty (C4-0241/95),

-having regard to the corrigendum by the Council of 6 December 1995 (7092/95/COR2 - C4-0563/95),

-having regard to Rule 90(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

-having regard to the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence Policy and the opinions of the Committee on External Economic Relations and the Committee on Civil Liberties and Internal Affairs (A4-0322/95),

1.Gives its assent to the common position of the Community;

2.Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council and Commission, and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Republic of Turkey.
