I think, that in this situation text of AI is better. I'm against proposals of negotiations between Eltsin and Dudaev. I want to underline: PROPOSALS OF NEGOTIATIONS, but not against negotiations. The problem is, that now negotiations are absolutely impossible after hundreds of died from both sides. Last evening Chernomyrdin and Filatov (chief of President's administration) declared, that "time of negotiations is finished and now only the issue to negotiate is how to disarm bandit groups in Chechnya". Nikolay Egorov, Vice-Prime-Minister and Minister of National questions declared, that nobody will negotiate with Dudaev before disarmament. It means, that PROPOSALS FOR NEGOTIATION aren't real.

So:

1. Chechnya is part of Russia and to use armed forces there is quite legal;

2. Another problem is, that in North Caucasus now is operating "Russian bear", it means a lot of victims among population. Exactly because text of AI is acceptable, correct and timely;

3. Any appeal, proposing negotiations now will be accepted as political step against Eltsin. Are we sure this is what we (as Radical Party) want to do?

4. Even if appeal, proposing negotiations will be in favour with opinion of majority among democrats in the State Duma and Senate, in this "political noise" nobody will hear voice of Radical Party. For what we should propose something not real and useless?

5. If we make step against Eltsin, are we sure, that next will be Gaidar or Yavlinski? Or, maybe, Zhirinovski, who agrees in 100% with this "first step to the Indian Ocean"?

6. I (as Nikolaj, Antonio, Olga...) can have my personal opinion (as citizen of Russia or Georgia), maybe, with different, which I can write and declare, but I think, we should see the difference between personal opinion and position of the Party...

The biggest question for me is how did they manage to do, that bandit Dudaev looks more simpatic in this crisis, then President Eltsin?
