"NOVAJA EZHEDNEVNAJA GAZETA" ACCUSES UNITED NATIONS IN HENOCIDE AGAINST SERBS, AND NATO - IN USING PROHIBITED WEAPONS
One of the main Russian newspapers - "Novaja Ezhednevnaja Gazeta" (New Daily Newspaper) - have published yesterday, November 25, on its front page the unsigned article entitled "NATO Uses The Prohibited Weapons Against Serbs".
"The expected and completely just Serbian response to the evident provocation of Moslems, who initiated the escalation of military conflict in Bosnia, have caused the real hysteria in United Nations Organization, who implemented from the beginning the American policy to encourage the henocide against Serbian people."
The paper gives the words of Richard Hallbrouck, assistant of the US Secretary of State, commenting the NATO air strikes against Serbian positions, and writes, that "he did not precise, how many civilians and villages were damaged after this strikes, as well as he did not mentioned, that NATO aircraft have used against Serbs some weapons, prohibited by international conventions."
"NEG" is printed in 135,000 of copies in Moscow, Cheljabinsk, Rostov-On-Don, Novosibirsk, as well as in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine). Its editor-in-chief is Vladimir Lepehin, member of Russian State Duma (PRES - Party of Russian Unity and Concordance) and deputy chairman of Duma's committee on public organizations and religious communities. Mr. Lepehin was also member of Radical Party in 1992 and participated in its XXXVI Congress in Rome. Among the members of newspaper's Public Board, indicated on every number's last page, are Mihail Gorbachev, ex-president of USSR, and Grigorij Javlinskij, leader of "JaBLoko" group in Russian State Duma. Both apparently are candidates on the future presidential elections in Russia.
