Mr. Chope Paljor Tsering, representative of His Highness the Dalai Lama for Baltic, Central and South Eastern Europe, visited Prague last  week. He  came to  solve certain  internal problems  of the Czech  supporting groups  of Tibet  and to  make several official meetings.  He met  the Deputy  Minister of  Foreign Affairs,  Mr. Alexander  Vondra,  who  expressed  full  support  of  the  Czech Government to the Tibetan Government in exile.
Mr. Tsering  was in everyday contact  with us and he  asked us to help him  to meet some Members  of Parliament in order  to inform them  about the  Parliamentary Commitees  on Tibet  which already exist  in  several  Parliaments  of  the  world  and to ask Czech deputies to  create a similar one.  Given that last week  was the "travelling  week"  in  the  Czech  Parliament,  we  were able to introduce  to Mr.  Tsering only  one deputy,  Mr. Andrej  Gjuric, member  of  the  Commitee  for  Social  Policy  and Health of the Parliament, who cooperates closely with the Radical Party for two years,  mainly  on  the  Bosnian  issue.  Mr. Gjuric accepted the invitation of Mr. Tsering to the 2nd Session of the Parliamentary Commitees on Tibet, which will be  held from 26. till 29th of May 1995  in  Vilnjus  and  he  promised  to  do whatever possible in creating such a Commitee in the Czech Parliament.
