Subject: FWD: US Congress Nomination of Wei Jingsheng

The Update Information on Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

To follow up our request for her taking leadership in the US Congress to nominate Mr. Wei JIngsheng for Nobel Peace Prize, I contacted Nancy Pelosi again this afternoon, and talked with Carolyn, the legislative director. The current plan is, Carolyn will hand over the nominating letter, which was already made, to her boss and Senator Bill Bradley, and let them sign first, and then colleagues will make copies of that for distribution to all Congress members for signatures next Monday. Carolyn will organize a group to make phone calls to member's offices for following up, before it's ready to go to NOrway. We will check it later on Friday afternoon.

I made another phone call to Linda, at Senator Bill Bradley's office, and told her the progress. She promised she would let her boss know and take a lead to sign it.

I am very glad to see Professor Anderw Nathan's message in CND today, urging professors' signatures for nominations. Unfortuantely, it's only in CND regional edition. I will forward it to China-net, and DIGNITY-l net right away.

Talk to you later,

Xing Zheng for the IFCSS HQ
