International Criminal Court
Sir David Steel: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on Government preparations for attendance of a UN Plenipotentiary diplomatic conference in late 1998 to discuss the establishment of an international criminal court. [1881]
Sir Nicholas Bonsor: We are active participants in the preparatory process to consider the establishment of an international criminal court. However, a date has not yet been set for a conference to consider a statute for such a court. We will make preparations for such a conference once a date has been set.
