To all Tibetan Communities and TSGs in North America,
Once again, "A FLAG FOR TIBET 1997", the campaign initiated by the
Transnational Radical Party, to fly Tibetan flag on March 10th around the globe is in full swing.
Last year at the 2nd International Conference of Tibet Support Groups in Bonn, the consensus was that this campaign should be intensified this year by all Tibetans and TSGs worldwide to try and have 6000 cities and municipalities fly Tibetan flag on March 10th, 1997.
I therefore ask all of you to try and get your local municipalities, counties and city mayors to join in this worldwide campaign. There is only 1 month left, so please get on it right away.
Since the campaign in North America started late last year, we were only able to get 4 or 5 cities to fly the flag. This year, we should all put in a unified effort and try reach the goal set out by TRP of 3000.
I've been advised by Paolo ATZORI of TRP that the flags are available in Brussels if required. They will send the flag directly if you send them the name and the address of the mayor who agrees to fly the flag.
