As long as there are forces bent on stealing our freedom, there is the necessity of having men and women who focus on its preservation.

My point is--while war and armies are ugly and vile, we have to have them if we intend on keeping our democracy. This last century has had many demonstrations of the need to protect our freedoms from tyrants and bullies--Hitler, Hussein, Stalin, to name a few of those tyrants.
